Hello everyone. I have had a Malibu 23 XTI for the last 17 seasons and am going to a newer all out surf boat versus a crossover boat. I am looking at a 2015 G25 and there are a few 2016-2019's available out there also. I'm wondering if there are big or small surf wave differences between those years? (stock set up) I know the 16 changed the NSS design and I believe the hull is a little different but has anyone had experiences with both and an opinion? Also does it make a big noticeable difference to add a bunch of weight to either year model? Thanks and looking forward to joining team Nautique. The quality of the Malibus just doesn't seem to be there since they went public back in 2012 versus our old classic 04. I know they put out a great wave but fit and finish doesn't seem to be in the same league as the Nautiques. Thank you!

Don't get a 2015 G25, hull design causes water spray while driving during surfing. For that reason alone, I would not buy.Originally posted by onemore2 View Post -
Thank you. I heard that the G23had a lot of spray but the G25 wasn't too bad because of its size and how high it rides in the water. Sounded legit to me but I did notice that Nautique definitely highlighted the 2016 hull front change to reduce spray. Thoughts?Comment

No problem. The decision hasn't been made for sure. I think the electronics were updated quite a bit in 2016. If anyone else has an opinion of the 2015's versus 2016 and newer I would welcome any discussion. Thank you.Comment
