We had a little too much time on our hands this afternoon and thought about a few dumb ideas to try, and this one was at the top of our list: Trying to surf using one of our paddle boards behind our 2020 GS22. With our ballast full (we were just fishing a surf set), I set NCRS to 3, NSS to 2 and sped up to 11.8 just to try and lengthen the wave a bit, and we actually managed to find a decent wave. We’ll play with this more this as we are up at the lake all week, but does anyone have any suggestions for trying this? Here’s a pic from our start. I thought I could upload a video but I couldn’t manage to find an easy way to post it…

I will briny my 6'8" ocean surfboard out with us from time to time and its a blast. We have a mastercraft so different setting but I set it to the steepest setting and then bump the speed up to like 12.4. The wave is crazy long and its a blast. Plenty of push all the way through the wave and with a board that big you can maintain speed no problem.

Well, my son and I went out yesterday afternoon to play around with this and we found a great set up that we will continue to fine tune. But for now, we dialed in the wave for our 12’ paddle board by using our standard wave settings (NSS=0 and NCRS=5), but with only 60% ballast all around and speeding up to 11.7mph. This gave us a super chill wave where you can just sit there all day long hanging out, or you can even walk back and forth a bit to drop back/accelerate forward in the wave. We’ll keep tweaking this, and my next goal is to get my wife to join me on the board for some doubles riding
Here are a few pics as we were messing around with the wave. It was only the two of us in the boat for this yesterday so we’re still playing with this as I still like to lengthen the wave a bit.
