2012 SANTE 210 Surf Setup Help

Proud new owner of a 2012 SANTE 210 and been having a blast out on the lake this summer but looking to improve my setup from any experienced 210 owners out there. I described my setup below and what I have noticed. Might help to note that I normally have 3-4 people in the boat and installed a surfpipe.

750lb bags piggyback on top of hard tanks in each rear locker
300lb bow sack under front seats
200lb lead weight (normally up in the bow)
    NSS @1-2
    Hydrogate @2-3 (ramp)
    Speed 10.9-11.2

Generally will run rear bags on the surf side full with almost no weight in the opposite side. From what I have found people run almost equal weight in the rear lockers but for me it never seems to generate a surfable wave. Not sure if someone has the same setup in a 2012. I have read some of the threads on 2014+ 210's but not sure if the hull design and specifications changed drastically enough to make my setup work the same. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I will try to get out tomorrow to do some testing before the weekend and can upload some pictures.

    THX!

I have had both 210 hulls and Yes the pre-2014 210’s still have to be listed a bit to surf side to get the best possible wave. 14 and up you can run it weighted equal. Sounds like your set up is good but a little fast for that hull. I’d bump the speed down 10.7-10.8 , we would fill the rears and drain opposite surf side till wave cleaned up. Hydrate usually not engaged or if it was just at 2.

      Scooter pretty much nailed it.

I run 1100’s in the rear ( pulled my tanks. ) piggy back of center , and 360lbs lead stuffed in the front. I have NSS on my 08 ( installed it myself. ).

      inrun 10.5mph.

      regular foot

      -port bag full
-starboard bag ( non surf side) between 1/2. 3/4 full.
Hyrdrogate all the way forward. ( this is key. )

      Goofy foot
      starboard bag full
      port bag 3/4
      hydrogate all the way back.

We ride surf style boards not skim ,,,,,,,prefer bit steeper wake with tons of push. So these settings maximize that. The wake may be bit steep for skim
eiders , but you can adjust the hydrogate to customize.

unlike the newer 14 and up Hull you have to have just a little listing to surf side. I have found in over 600hrs of use the regular wake side needs touch more list to offset prop toque. Also unlike te 14 and up Hull you really don’t have much fine tuning of the wake with the plate extension position on the older Hull. It’s pretty much fully extend or off.

Slow down a bit to 10.5 and give that a whirl

Factory NSS plates. I bought the kit from Nautique and installed it myself. It’s about as god as it gets for 21ft’r in my opinion. The newer X10 is about the only other 21ft boat that has better surf wake. The pocket in the X10 is little longer. But I am still a wakeboard first guy so that’s why I am still in a 210
