2007 SANTE 226 - Wakeshaper location

Hey everyone. Can someone with a 226 tell me where you are currently placing your wakeshaper? I have the liquid force wakeshaper v2 and it is hard to find a place towards the stern that the suction cups stick too.

You might need to try a different shaper. My BIL has an X10 that is a b*tch to get a shaper to stick to. He ended up with a Nauticurl FLEX that will stick. I know several manufacturers make models for those hard-to-fit hulls.

MN Ryan, where do you place your wake shaper on your 211? Looks like the 211 has more flat surface towards the stern than my 226 does. Just wondering

I haven't ever had an issue getting one to stick to my 211--it's got a great surface for that. I haven't really played around with it, but I usually just place it as far to the back as I can and below the water line. I'll probably play around with location adjustments this summer.

On my BIL's X10, you pretty much put it where it'll stick--there isn't really want room for error or you surge a lot of time turning around and picking it out of the lake.

randykenepp I don't have any information for you on the wake shaper location, but I did want to point out that the 226 is not a Super Air Nautique, so referring to it as a SANTE is incorrect. The 226 was just never marketed by Nautique as a Super Air Nautique. Not sure why.

Yeah, I see people make that mistake a lot. I really don't know why it wasn't considered a SAN.

I owned a 226 for a little while and really enjoyed it. They are great boats.
