P23 Surf Settings - what is your go to for kids and adults?

New to the P23 world and would love some info on what your go to surf settings are for the following:

    - 10 and 12 year old - Beginner surfers
    - 47 year old - intermediate

I played around with it this weekend and it gets big and steep on setting 10 with full ballast. Curious on ballast, speed, and setting. I know everybody will have a different opinion on this but that is what I am looking for!

Cheers to an absolutely epic boat…blew me away.

    I can only dream of a P23!

I'm guessing you won't need much for the kids. My son started at 8 and could ride ropeless without any ballast in my BIL's X10 and my SV211. He's 10 now and likes a bigger wave (though he doesn't need it). My daughter is 8 now and prefers no ballast--she just started going ropeless at the end of last year. Don't want to overwhelm them or send them into the transom!

My kids started out surfing the built in Wakesurf Mellow setting and they loved it. Now that my oldest (14) is confident and surfs a lot more, and ropeless, we leave the ballast full as we have it for us but run him at Wave level 2 at 11.6mph. For myself and my cousin, we ride full ballast (no additional) at Wave 6-7 for our natural toe side at 12.0mph. If I'm riding switch or heel side, I run it at Wave 1 and that's for my surf style board.
