2022 GS 22 wakeboard wake not clean

I’ve been using my ‘2022 GS 22 now for over 50 hrs. It has power tower, supplemental ballast and ZZ6 engine. Love the surf wave but I still cannot get it to throw a crisp clean wakeboard wave below 26/27mph. I’ve tried different ballast configurations from 25% to full and up to 500# lead positioned in different areas of the boat. I can get a clean wake on one side but washed out on the other. The best I can do at 22mph is with 25% ballast in the rears, 30% in the bow and no extra lead. This gives a smallish wakeboard wake but mostly clean on both sides however still a washy lip. I had no problem on my 2017 GS 20 sacked out with and additional 800# in the middle of the floor throwing bigger wakes completely clean both sides at down to 17 mph. Last fall before ordering mine, I demoed a 2021 GS 22 with the supplemental ballast but with the manual tower and ZR4 engine and it’s wakeboard wake was crisp and clean with 100% ballast at 21 mph. My dealer, who is an excellent wakeboarder, came out and rode with me last week and couldn’t explain or correct it either. Any thoughts from other GS owners?

Just a thought but when filling all ballast did you confirm all were full by actually looking for water out of the overflow? Seems like something isn’t filling properly possibly?

Yes. I can confirm the supplemental pro ballast bags are full in the back lockers. And although I can’t see the front subfloor bag, it drains from the overflow through-hull vent before the pump turns off when filling.

in my experience a washed out wake means too much weight or too much weight in the wrong place. I just can’t seem to find how to move it around to get a clean wake and I have a hard time believing I need to run with ballast less than half full to get anywhere near a clean wake.

Have you had any luck dialing this in? I have the same issue with the same year and the same motor. Went to 25% belly and loaded up the rear and it helped a bit. I think it needs a ton of weight in the rear.
