Go Surf Assist 2010 SANTE 210

Hello everyone! I’m new to this site so I apologize if this topic has already been discussed. I was looking for some honest reviews from anyone that has installed the GSA system on a 2010 SANTE 210? We just recently bought this boat and are trying to get our setup right. We just installed the Wake Makers piggy back 750lb bags in the side lockers(haven’t had a chance to test it yet). We currently use a suction cup wake shaper, but we are looking for something easier to switch surf sides. With the price of the GSA being about $4500, it’s quite a bit of money. Just looking to see if it’s worth the investment and how was install! Obviously the reviews on Wake Makers and GSA are great, but want some thoughts from real people. If the topic has been discussed before maybe someone could post the link! Thank you!!

Why would you do go surf assist instead of doing the Nautique NSS system. I Don’t have any direct experience with go surf assist on a 210 or that era , but the NSS works flawlessly and you don’t have giant tabs hanging off transom.

I have a step by step listed for my 08 210

Welcome to the site and congratulations on the boat. I haven’t installed GSA, But I wanted to share that I did this Factory NSS install posted above on my 09 210, Worked flawlessly for the 4 years I had the boat. I’d recommend trying to keep Nautique parts on it and seeing if these kits are still available.

Thank you for both your response, this is the type of feedback I was hoping for!! guess I never thought of the NSS style gates with an aftermarket controller. I was just told it wouldnt work with my current electronics. I wasn’t ever to see excited about the massive tabs sticking off the back. So since both of you did your own installs do you think a system like this for the price and effort is worth the results?

I didnt originally when I installed it. However the amount of times it’s used , not having to deal with an add on gate , and finally dialing in the wave with it , I feel it is for anyone that is going to primarily surf. This older hull vs the 14- 2022 doesn’t exactly have the same small tweaks. I find it either fully deployed or fully in. It really don’t customize the steepness or push by deploying g a 1/4,1/3,1/2 etc.

So I was looking at the link you posted. Would I just by the plates directly from Nautique? If so is it just for a newer 210 that came factory with the NSS.?

i have GSA and very happy with it.... you can look at my posts. it needs a lot more rear ballast to work. Last two season i've used the plane assist feature more than the surf settings. My 210 is a 2001 so NSS was not an option. I think i heard someone has a NSS kit now that works on the older hulls.

You have to get them through a Nautique dealer or Nautiqueparts.com where you can use PND for 10% off IF these plates are still available from the factory. Yes it’s same plates for Newer 210’s 12-13 but in 14 and up the 210,s had a Hull and NSS tweak and stayed that way until model was discontinued. So make sure you get the kit for 2012 model year

Thank you for the responses! I will get a hold of the dealer and see if the plates are still available. If not I might have to go with the GSA setup. I know it wouldn’t look as clean as the NSS, but, if it works it’s better then having to use the wake shaper on the side of the boat. Probably won’t do anything this year cause in AZ we’ll start hitting the lake soon. Next winter project. Just doing research. Thanks again!
