Hello all - We have a 2022 G23 with supplemental ballast. Usually surf just the family with one rider and 3 in the boat, 100% ballasts full. The wave has always been fantastic for us. The last two days, we have noticed an issue after the first, second or third surf. This has happened on both sides of the boat. The wave seems to lose its ramp and push as well as a "hole" develops under the transom on the opposite side of the surfer. My guess is this has to do with the NCRS system since it is happening on both sides of the boat. Anyone else ever experience this before? Any help or advice appreciated. TIA!

Surf wave shape-up comes from applied pressure & flow. Seems to be a sensitive situation on my boat. What are the variables?
Is the hull bottom clean?
Fuel load drops
You could put a caliper on the surf plate deployment. I don't have those, but for hydrogate, or the interceptors I designed <1/8" up or down makes makes a difference.

What did you come up with here bharrell95?
Took a pull behind a '22 G yesterday. Supps. @ 50% and the wave was amazing. That is until we hit 10' of water, and the wave went lame. "Where did the wave go?" Took a few seconds to figure it out...

I don't have a 23, but do have a 22 G25, I run full ballast and 400 pounds of lead (under tower) and do not experience any wash in the wave. It is a longer boat, but I'm not sure if that helps. I would encourage you to surf at a little higher speed to lengthen the wave and clean it up. I usually surf at 12-12.5 mph depending on how many people are in the boat but usually it's just myself and 1 or 2 others. Anytime I've ever had a depth less than 15 feet the wave disappears and there is no hope of it returning until it gets above that depth. Hope this helps.
