Thanks. Only thing I was not able to get original was motor box and back seat. I made it work though and think it turned out pretty good. Would like to see some pictures of your if you have any.

That really came out great, awesome work! I have only seen purple paired with teal and was never a big fan but it looks great paired with the black.

What did you use to restore your platform? Mine was in terrible shape from the PO and I have used the three step starbrite kit twice but I have not been thrilled with my results.

If you are looking for the dash emblems (sport nautiqe, nautiques and performance engineered for...) you should contact Marty Mabe on CCF. He does great work and has good prices. I can PM you his email if you want it. He did the performance engineered tag for me and I couldn't be happier with it and the service he provided.

I also used the three step star brite. My platform was in pretty good shape and the boat was garage kept its entire life. I think that helps. I wasn't to sure about the purple either when I got but it has definitely grown on me and its unique. Like you said, most came purple and teal and hat would have been a deal breaker for me to purchase the boat. As far as decals, I would like Marty's contact info. I tried contacting correct craft and had no luck there. Thanks for the compliments!

Looks awesome. The Sport Nautiques seem to be very desirable boats lately too. I'd say 15k at least if listed in the Northeast.

To get good results, you have to use some elbow grease. The starbrite teak cleaner is great- but you'll need to work it into the grain with a brass bristle brush to remove all the mold and mildew. A very light powerwashing doesnt hurt either. You can skip right to oil after the cleaner... once its dry, of course. It will take multiple coats of oil, wetsanding between coats (400-800 grit) will smooth the wood out and keep the platform looking nicer longer.

Jrivera I will PM you Marty's contact info now. He has a connection at a trophy shop so these are engraved plastic and look just like the original factory ones to me. Here is a pic of the one he did for me

Thanks Tim, I have a few follow up questions on the platform stuff but I don't want to threadjack so I will do a site search and start another thread if I can't find my answers.

Thanks for the info. I will send him an email today. As far as plateform. I did not use a wire brush but I did use a tire brush and scrubbed the heack out of it. I believe I did the process on it twice. Hope it works out for you.

                  s_kelly2000,

Marty made me the plaques I needed plus a few decals that I was missing. He did an awesome job! I posted before and after. Thanks again!

Beautiful job...congrats! Just a follow up question (commented earlier) on your trailer, is that a matte finish, or a condensation/dew? Regardless, I'll echo the compliment on how you tied the black on the trailer to the boat. Looks great with the purple.
                    Peace..

                      Sodbuster88,
I painted the boat in Bedliner paint. It took about 10 cans. I got it at lowes. The 10 cans gave me two coats and I did the rims also. I sanded down the trailer and grinded away the few rust spots. I sprayed the whole thing in gray primer then painted. Thanks for the compliments!
