When upholstery goes in I'm sure I'll find myself recontemplating seadek all over again for the third time .... Looks really good and done right.

Jeff, did they spray the black gel coat directly over the raw fiberglass? Or did the fiberglass have to be sanded smooth first or preped in anyway with a skim coat to smooth the surface out in order to remove a lot of the "imprint" of the glass fibers to have a smooth surface to gel coat over?

when gel coat was sprayed was it thickened at all? To provide better fill and faster buildup? Did the gel coat then have to be polished after it was applied? This would help a lot of us who may follow your sea deck application and use gel coat instead of other alternatives.

The floor was sanded after the carpet was removed. It is a messy process, but it is necessary in order to smooth everything out and eliminate glue and carpet fibers. The gelcoat was then sprayed directly on the fiberglass. I am not sure if they thickened it, but I don't think so. It is not polished, so it isn't shiny. You could do that, but it really isn't necessary. Only a small part shows.

Got about half of the interior installed today. Had to make a couple of trips to the hardware store (funny how nuts and bolts go missing during these projects). I was hoping to get it all installed today, but it just didn't happen. Tomorrow's the day!

Hello Jeff! Congratulation to your project. Wonderful what you make possible. Because of the fact that I want to replace my carpet in a sn200 with SeaDeck I would like to know your experience. Do you think I can do it myself? What is the price only for the SeaDeck?

Interior is installed with the exception of the panel around the throttle arm. That one is being adjusted a bit by the upholstery installer tomorrow morning, after which it will be installed.

Tomorrow is water test day! Can't wait to get this boat out on the water!!

What an awesome job! !! I wish I was close to be able to see it in real life as opposed to pictures. ..cause I am sure it looks better for real! !!

Even the trailer looks good. ..can't drive a nice boat like that on a cappy trailer. .
The only thing missing now to finish it off perfectly is a set of Nautique sleeves on the guide posts.

Thank you! The trailer is actually pretty bad. I will probably have Ram-Lin make a nice dual-axle trailer for it in green with electric brakes sometime this winter. The current trailer is a $600 special that the local dealer just happened to have on the lot. It is functional, but that's about it.

Wow...from the pictures it doesn't look like that. ..600...that is cheap. .when I was shopping for mine and there was no trailer included they were taking 5-6k!!!...i don't live in the right country. .

Love it. Engine hatch seadeck looks fine against the rest of the floor. Post a video of the first start up and cruise when you go out tomorrow.
