Seriously, this is the project by which all other modern restoration projects will be judged. It's like being the First Guy to do a cap-off stringer/floor job on a 2001. Someone had to be first, to document it for all those who buy one in the future thinking it'll be an "easy fixer-upper" and start down the rabbit hole of "while I'm here I might as well..."

I just don't like sitting so low in the hull. 5 six inches would be so much nicer for me. Any thoughts on this, or have you heard of this being done? Thanks D
There's a lot of Malibu owners with seat risers installed. Few different ways to do it, but if you Google malibu seat riser box you'll find a pretty cool box riser that incorporates a some additional storage into it.

I put the swivel in with a little bit of modification and it has been really nice. The height is just enough to keep you from feeling like you are on the floor and the swivel is awesome.

beacons......the one from Nautique parts? I was thinking about that as well but was not sure how much it would swivel since its sits so close to the side.

Yes, though mine is the '98 Ski Nautique. Not sure how different the SANs are.

Got nothin done besides acquiring a used pop up tarp style garage that I plan on making a spray booth out of. Should barely fit the hull and trailer in it in order to be able to spray the gel coat in.

It’s hard to believe how much work has gone into this reno. OMG, nice work!!

This is the way I would do it if were me, which is why I could never allow myself to even start.
