Restauration: Ski Nautique 1998

Hi there. You might try www.correctcraftfan.com for restoration questions. I don’t know of any blueprints. Manuals and brochures is usually all you get. But a 1998 boat should not be a super-difficult project. I think you'd find more restoration information on a 1998 Ski Nautique right here than you would on CCF.

Hi all, some time have passed, we are working as much as we can on our restauration. Its a bit hard with stores so far away, so most of the work is DIY...
Here is some updates as it went!

First we had to fix tower and get Nautique in garage... At the end, we are building new tower at this moment, and already made new trailer!

Once we got it inside, real work started... We took everything apart, and did new wireing, new interior, new music and lights...

We kept coloring green/beige/white... New flooring from permateek, ash texture with ivory lines will be installed at the end!

SeaDek was options, but next to impossible to get it near Adriatic sea!

We also replaced Aluminium that was in really bad shape with Inox DIY parts. It was much cheaper than only transport from USA...

At this moment we are also building a bit redesigned platform from teek to match new boat!

This are photos from hull restauration. General feeling and colours are the same, but with the twist. Green is British racing green metalic from Mini Morris... Looks great under sun, can't wait to see it on water!

All decals are done, next week we are putting everything togather, not sure how long it will take!

As it was Easter, we did color tests on eggs! What do You think?

Decals on boat will be silver with mirror effect!

Are you using gel coat on the hull or paint?

Bottom part is gelcoat, green and line above is paint. Deck, top part gelcoat around cockpit will only be polished, its ok!

Only question was maybe to put something on gelcoat under the waterline, some protection, but then decided to dive with kids every day and clean it by hand... if there will be too much seaweed, we can allways put something?

So, the summer is here, and we're on the water... and yes, be finished everything... here are some of the photos, most of the work is DIY...
So, lets start with new swim platform... it took us few hours in workshop, all teak...
