Thanks silent seven, i appreciate that big compliment.
Initial mock up helps me think thru whats gotta hapen when and where and just so hopefully there isnt an aw shux moment.
for fun i was wondering how some highbacks might look up front since the battery gets relocated and some kind of builf in cooler takes its place.
the stringers are bedded down on 1708 and the floor, dog box, hatch and battery tray cleats are bonded on, 1708 as well.
no 2 pieces of wood touch eachother, all bonded.
Rear seat, gas tank cleats and rudder port bed get bonded / bedded tomorrow after that it can get cleaned up with the grinder and totally glassed in.

Roughed in rear seat, final trim and toe kick height after floor goes down, the center step is midway between floor and gunnel for entry/exit to the platform.
it will be hinged for easy access.

Stringers glassed in today, 10 mixes total of 368 ounces in rapid succession no time to stop for photos.
rain tomorrow but i will get some and post them in a few days at latest.

Seats are approx 20 inches wide and 19 inches deep center step is 17 wide 18 deep, doesnt look like it but it swings up hinged from seat back and clears by 1/2 inch.
not sure to hinge it to swing up or down should swing either way, Opinions? Click image for larger version

                I made a couple 3 mistakes,
1- in 3 places theres some air that will have to be cut out and repared. As shown in the first pic. Cant sleep knowing theyre there.

2- i made a mistake cutting my tabs and since the stringers are identical i never went back in and measured the other one, as a result there is no overlap between outer and inner forward the engine, the tabbing extends 4 inches but i wanted more plus the overlap.

3- i should have stuck with the original 2 stringer plan i had in mind, now ill have to rebuild another one, this thing is solid tho. Click image for larger version

All ply is marine i get from east coast lumber in melbourne fl..

the stringers are 2 layers of 1/2 inch glassed together with staggered joints to make 12 feet.

using ve 700 resin and 1708 biax. The floor will be 1/2 inch ply wrapped in 1700 biax.

i dont think the overlapped tabbing between the inner and outer stringers is neccessary but it looks nice.

Looking very nice. I see you have some space under the front bulkhead....I would have thought that would be a tight seal to keep water from going forward?

If the bulkhead went all the way down the water that gets up front will collect.
i want driving and towing the boat thru stopping going and turning too help the water get to the bottom

OK. Different from my 82 Mastercraft. In that boat, the areas outside the stringers were closed and foam filled - basically a sealed flotation pocket. Same for the bow portion. Didn't realize that entire stringer area could be wet.

Same thing port side, except I didnt wrap the the vertical sections were the engine mounts are at.
1700 wraps better than 1708, it will be easer to go thru and make nice after the stringers are all glassed.
the whole thing needs to be ground to prep for paint or gel in the bilge.
