The ECU is on the engine, so I assume it'll be swapped along with the engine. I am sure the newer engine will have a different calibration anyway.

The upholstery guy was just here, and he's making a replacement seat base for the seat behind the driver, over the cooler. For some reason that seat base was not with the boat when I got it.

He's also replacing the gray vinyl on the seat by the walk-through. That one had a decent-size tear in it. Should look great when they come back on Thursday next week.

I also should receive the replacements for the couple of blown speakers within the next few days. A member of this site was able to sell me six of the factory original Polk Audio speakers, so that way I can replace the blown ones and probably have a couple extras for other boats.

I also expect the replacement teak platform to show up this coming week. I was able to find another member here who had a spare teak platform for a 211, and I was able to buy that from him. I'm not positive whether this boat will get the new teak platform or the fiberglass one off of the 226 I am working on. It is all up to the person who buys the boat. Both platforms will fit either boat.

Not much to report today.

I did get the PME box remounted in its proper place. It was loose behind the dash when I got the boat.

You can see the gateway box behind the PME. I was very concerned that the replacement engine we're installing wouldn't work with this gateway, since the engine is substantially newer than the original engine. PCM confirmed today that the new engine will work with the existing gateway, however PerfectPass will no longer work. We'll be converting this boat to Zero Off.

Well, the pressure is on to get this one wrapped up quickly! The new owner is coming to pick it up on Wednesday!

I just picked it up from the guys at PCM today, and the new engine they installed seems to be working great. It has a total of five hours on it!

The Zero Off conversion is complete, and works great. This is one of only a very small number of boats from this era that has Zero Off. Only a replacement engine will allow ZO to be installed in boats this old.

I took it out for a test run this evening, and will wrap up my list of things to fix tomorrow and Wednesday morning.

I just mounted the new teak platform using all new brackets.

Got the small side decals on. The new owner doesn't want the big side Air tribal graphic installed.

Tower speakers have been replaced with a set of known-good spares from another PN member. No more blown tweeters!

Just completed rebuilding the Flight Clips with new bungees. This was not too difficult, and the kits from NP are only about $25 per side. If you need new bungees on your Flight Clips, you should do this!

The interior speakers and the subwoofer were not working on this boat, so after troubleshooting the original Clarion 480M amp, I just decided to replace it with a Kenwood KAC-M8005 Marine amp. Once I did that, everything worked just fine. Still needs a good cleaning, but at least we have full audio now!

Did the amp power on but not give any output?

If so, that is what happened to mine this year, replaced with a used Clarion but I probably should have gone with the Kenwood like you did

Yes, it did.

I would have replaced it with a used 480M if I could have found one. I like to keep things stock unless I am really doing an upgrade. I couldn't find a 480M, so this Kenwood class D was a good alternative, and it took the same type of connections that the 480M did, so it was an easy swap.
