Nice work! How did you hoist the boat off the trailer? I would've been nervous as a cat lowering the boat down on cinder blocks stacked 3 high! With my luck, one stack of blocks would've fallen over as soon as the boat was released from the hoist.

There was a thread in here not to long ago about it.

I lowered the front of the trailer as far as I could, then put the blocks on the back. You need to make sure the cavities are facing up, otherwise they might crumble. Then I placed wood and carpet on the top of the blocks.

Next I raised the trailer back up till the back was sitting in the blocks. I then hooked up the engine hoist, and lifted the boat by the front lift ring, and pulled the trailer forward until the wheels hit the hoist.

I then placed the front set of blocks under the boat with wood and carpet also. Lowered the boat down on them, and released the hoist ( I was puckered at this point ). The boat was pretty solid on them, so I moved the hoist, and pulled the trailer the rest of the way out. I then put the hoist back as a safety catch if something did break.

I didn't do any work in the boat when it was off the trailer. But it held it up just fine for all the sanding, buffing, and waxing.

I didn't get as much done this weekend as i wanted, had other projects pop up. I got the sub-woofer moved.



I also got the Roswell Night Waves Installed.


They are even brighter than I expected.

I also received the new wiring harness for the Swivel Clamps i ordered for my Rev 10's. I think its kinda crappy that they send the LED wire hookups for the lower half ( inside the speaker ) of the clamp, but the upper wiring harness only has the speaker wires. You have to order another $50.00 wiring harness to be able to use the LED's.

I will reinstall the REV 10's this weekend with the new harnesses. I hope to be able to finish off the boat this weekend. I only have the following left to do. If you have an y suggestions please let me know.

1. Ballast Tank Solenoids for Rears and Center. I have them just need to hook them up. BYE BYE HELM CONTROLS!!!!!!
2. Install New Fuel Tank Sender. Mine works, bu the signal drops out a lot.
3. Cut out Bow Cooler and plumb in Bow Sac
4. Install the Bimini when it arrives


Other than that, I just have a little more cleaning to do, and should be good to go for the summer.

Awesome job you’re doing. I really loved my 05. How committed are you to cutting out the front ice chest? Have you ever added much extra ballast in the front before? A lot of extra bow weight in that boat will make the nose submarine pretty easily. At least that was my experience with mine. Especially with anyone else, but me driving.

For the part of the summer that i could surf, I filled the bow sac i have on top of the bow seats. I didn't have to fill it up all the way, but maybe half full gave a much better surf wave.

Any pics you could get of cutting out the bow cooler would be great to see, I plan on doing that in June. Lookin real good so far

I will see if i can get a video of it with my Go-pro. If not i will take as many pics as i can. I don;t know which tools i will use to cut it yet. Sawzall, multitool, or air powered Cutoff Wheel. Might be a combo of all of them.

I got a good weekend in of work done. I ended up installing solenoid ball valves where the helm control valves were, I have not tested them yet, but i could hear them click when the pumps turned on. I don't have any pictures of that. I also got the cooler cut out of the bow, once again no pictures.

To cut the cooler out i just used an oscillating multi-tool ( mine happens to be a dewalt ) and cut all the way around it with the round blade, and had to use the plunge blade in a few spots. I then cut it in half the short way to get it out. Took about 10 min max. Not a big deal IMO. I then used a file to clean up the edges, and should be good to go. '

I also got the new speaker clamps installed, and finished all that wiring. I also cutout the front tower mounts and put in the LED Cup Holders.

Only thing left to really do is install the new Bimini when it arrives ( been on back-order from Roswell for a while now, but promised in the next week or 2 ) and finish polishing up some of the top deck. I dropped it off to get a new cover made today and should have it all back in a week.

I also installed the main controller for the RFX-5000 Head unit. I wasn't sure where to put it last year, but found a nice spot.



All In all i think its turned out pretty good.

For Next year I may pull all the carpet, and do the SeaDek thing, not really sure yet. If i find an extra 3k laying around maybe some surf tabs. Maybe the wife will want something bigger. You never know!!

Fantastic, hope I don't drive you nuts with too many questions but I've got a bit of down time coming up and will be spending some time with the boat at home...
1. What solenoids did you use? Going to plumb in the bow sac and am going that route as well

2. What lights did you use on the transom? Considering adding some but the variance in cost/quality/brightness makes it tough to pull the trigger without seeing performance first

looking great. I'm guessing the laws may be different in the US to the UK on this one: Whilst underway, having red lights on the starboard side where they can be seen by other boats is a no-no. So the cup holder and speakers would be questionable. Is there any conflict in the US on this?
