Did a little test run today. The engine seems to be running very nicely now.

My family wants to take this boat to watch the on-water Christmas boat parade this year, so I need to get the interior installed and finish the wiring for the tower light soon!

More work on this boat today.

All of a sudden the other day, the starter doesn't want to run. I thought maybe the keypad had died, but I tried a spare today and got the same issues. The starter itself is brand new, so I highly doubt that's the issue.

I think possibly the red wire from the breaker to the starter (the wire with the built-in fuse) may have blown the fuse. I have a replacement on order, and I hope to have it up and running again by Friday.

I also went ahead and installed the tower all-around white light today, and removed the original telescoping stern light (which I will repurpose on the Blue Bomber). Wiring for the tower light was fun, but it is done now, and everything works!

Did you have to replace the top center section of the tower for that? What brand light is that? I like the way it looks!

No story, really. The boat originally had the optional telescoping stern light. That's a cool option (I had it on my 2003 210). I figured I'd just remove it and splice into the existing wires for power to the tower light. The weird thing was that there were THREE wires for the original light. I guess maybe one runs the motor that raises and lowers the light. I had to use a meter to figure out which wire was which (since I had already cut them at that point), but I eventually got it all figured out.

ah...ok. My 206 has no power to the tower...and I've thought about putting an anchor light on the top. This one is cool.

But the stories of running the wire....drill...floss...vacuum...pull...have slowed down my initiative.

Well, I replaced the wire with the fuse in it (at $43 plus shipping). No change! Starter still wouldn't turn!!

It is back up and running now though.

I have never pulled my hair out trying to start my boat for a few hours only to find that SOMEONE removed the safety switch lanyard.

I heard a story about a captain in my area who was towed back to the dock when he didn't realize the throttle was slightly pushed forward...course...just hearsay. May or may not have really happened.

Did some interior cleaning and reinstallation, along with the Roswell R1 speaker installation today. The inside is finally starting to look good again!

The reason the interior work happened today was that we wanted to use this boat to view the on-water Christmas parade this year here at Lake Norman. That went well!











Got the Roswell R1 speakers configured for the season too!
