2003 Ski Nautique 196 Project

Now that the carpet runner is complete, I just had a couple more things to finish up, and I did those today.

I replaced the engine hoses that were leaking on the last water test, including the exhaust hoses, which are a pain.

I installed the new Roswell Reflect 360 mirror (which is AWESOME, by the way). This is the most adjustable mirror out there. The mirror itself is adjustable, but the arm also swings around 360 degrees, and locks in at 16 different angles based on your preference.





I checked to be sure that every single light bulb was working on the dash, and that all accessories worked.







And I finished it off with new Nautique guide pole covers and new Nautique tie-downs.

Tomorrow is the final water test, and then it will get one final cleaning, and it will be off to Alabama for the new owner to enjoy.

Looks great, Jeff. And yes, I love the video clip, too. We had a legit blizzard on Friday night--10 more inches of snow cemented us into the 3rd snowiest winter on record for Minneapolis/St. Paul. I am jonesing real bad for some time on the water (not ice).

Did a final calibration of the PerfectPass Stargazer w/ Zbox today. I am pretty impressed with the way it holds speed, especially with the boat sitting a bit crooked with only a driver, and going into a pretty fierce wind.

It comes out of the water for the last time tomorrow, gets one final cleaning, and then it is off to Alabama!

Just adding the last few touches before it is off to the new owner's place in Alabama on Wednesday!

I put the correct swim platform back on it. I was running it with an unrestored platform for testing, because I didn't want to mess this one up.



I also mounted a brand new Acme 422 propeller. The one on the boat was near-perfect, but it had a slight bend in one of the tips (no vibration at all though). I wanted it perfect for the new owner though.



Just a final cleaning, and a short list of very final touches, and it'll be ready for the trip to Alabama.



I miss having it on my lift already!
