Were just going to put some fresh gas in it, slosh it around some, and pump it out, and repeat if it comes out dirty. We have already put new filters on, but we'll bypass them for this procedure.

The Fish Nautique got a little bit of test polishing this past week. I had no idea this boat would come back so nicely. If we keep working on it, it is going to look great! Honestly, I wasn't even planning to polish this boat. I didn't think the gel had any life left in it. I'm glad we tried a spot or two!

We tried firing up the engines, but they each had some issues that needed to be addressed, so we will keep working on them this week. I am hoping to have it in the water by the end of the week though!

The port engine is running too now! Planning for a water test next Wednesday, after everything gets adjusted and the gauges are all working. These engine guys have done a good job getting these things up and running.

Can't wait! Tomorrow is still the plan. Hope it all goes well.
If it does, this boat will be at my dock for the foreseeable future! It'll be my wintertime ride.

I had the experts working on it (I'm behind the camera)...
Got both engines started...
But, the decision was made to pull the boat back out. One engine was whining badly. We think the distributor in that engine may have a failing bushing. The other distributor wasn't hooked up to vacuum for the advance, since that carb didn't have a vacuum port. I am going to buy two new distributors with mechanical advance so that they can match and both work the same. We also found that they had hooked the throttle cables up backwards (pushing forward REDUCES throttle).
So, a little more work to do, but at least they both run!
You can hear the whine here:

Still sounds pretty B.A. in spite, love the bubbling rumble!
So close...
BTW, I looked up your gas prices, about .60 to .70 cents less a gallon there, and our Diesel is still over $4.50 (down from high $4's). We're getting pillaged, grr.
