Took care of the dash on this boat last night.

The old digital gauges had failed (big shocker).

Instead of replacing them with the Nautique kit, I decided to order the Faria Chesapeake gauges, including the GPS speedometer. This kit is about HALF the price of the Nautique replacement speedometer and tach, and instead of using the PerfectPass paddlewheel for speed input, it uses GPS. On top of that, it replaces ALL of the gauges, not just the speedometer and tachometer. That way ALL of the gauges match.

My dash had a mix-and-match set of gauges -- the original digital speedometer and tachometer, original oil pressure and temperature gauges (which never did match the original speedometer and tachometer), and aftermarket Faria fuel gauge and voltmeter that didn't match anything else.

....not often you hear Jeff bitching about Nautique support. But I agree...the whole Faria gauge replacement thing is a fiasco.

Remind me - does this boat have a gateway box or not? Thinking no...and that's what lets you use this kit?

Edit: BTW, that big yellow warning sticker needs to go. I get that it's "required" but it's really horrible.

When there is a better, less-expensive, and easier-to-install solution available than what Nautique comes up with, I am all for it! Especially when it makes all of the gauges match.

The only thing about this system is that it requires you to remove all of the spade connectors that the factory used at the gauge connections and replace them with ring terminals. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, since ring terminals are much better. It is time-consuming though.

Not sure what was worse, the bird crap on the before, or the yellow bling on the after ( SilentSeven edit, ha).
Looks super nice, those new gauges pop for sure!

Got this one back from the gelcoat shop the other day. It is WAY better than it was. They eliminated most of the oxidation, filled in the speedometer pickup holes (it uses GPS now), fixed a big spider crack, and polished it all up.
