From the chart, 48 and 41 ought to fit, too. Pretty much everything I've seen meets the 350 cca specs in the manual so that isn't posing a problem.
Doug, you can always change the cable terminal to add the accessory posts if need be. Dont just go by the dimensions- post location is also key. Ive fit batteries into the box that I couldnt get the cables onto.
I am VERY surprised that the manual lists 350cca as acceptable. I wouldnt go below 650cca.
Well, I found an optima blue top 34m on sale last night for $99 and jumped on it. 800 cca. After shopping around for the sizes in knew would fit, it ended up being cheaper than other stuff I'd found that fit the bill. Lots of car batteries, but none with the extra posts. And I'm just coming off a few projects and am ready to use the boat rather than start another one. Just ready to drop a battery in and go. Thanks though.

ETS, you might want to talk to your dealer about getting that inline fuse out of your system entirely. It's a troublemaker and can be easily wired out of the loop by taking the power from the main breaker rather than the battery.
Good to know. I'll mention it to them next time I'm over there. Not something I was familiar with from my last boat. But I packed a few extra 40 amp fuses just in case.
Ebay. I was pretty leary, but the guy had exceptional feedback (and lots of it) and it was brand new. I'll hold my breath on that first start. Not sure if he had more for sale. I think my search was "optima blue top 34m."
I'm going on year 3 with that same battery but I paid 185.00 for my 34M.
I was on 4 years with the Delco Marine battery in my last boat ($69 in 2003). Never put a charge on it until the last winter I had it, when I finally bothered to buy a battery tender. Even left the key in the acc position for a month by accident and it started the boat no problem. If I could've found one in the right size with the extra posts, I'd have bought another Delco.
