What are these?

Very technical question...dig deep for the answer to this :grin:

What are these called and what purpose do they serve? Was wondering if anyone takes them off...

I don't know the technical name for them, but they are to cover up the holes in the platform where the pickup hooks are so that the posionious gases will not come up through there, and you breath them.

Transom cup is the technical term if you want to call it that.

I removed the ones on my '03 210 so that it would be easier to tie the back of the boat down to the trailer. Be sure you fill the screw holes if you do that.

Mine rumble off every time I replace them. I have pretty much given up. I have bought 2 sets, and CC has given me three. I don't really think they prevent that much exhaust from coming up, anyway.

Excellent, thank you. I'm planning on the FAE so perhaps exhaust wouldn't be a problem. I was thinking the exact same thing; it is tough to get to those hooks with them on for trailering. Did you fill your holes with silicone or something?
