Anyone know how I can make my heater put out more heat? It's not really doing any good right now. It seems to put out enough air flow but it's not very warm. It starts out kinda warm and then turns coolor pretty quickly (so cool that the it seems to feel cooler than just turning it off. Is there a dial or something on the unit to adjust it like a car?

What temperature thermostat is in your boat? I have noticed that the heater works much better when the engine is engaged and not just idling. Maybe this is common knowledge. Just thought I'd share a little from my experince.Comment

Check with Dan at heatercraft, they may have a solution for you. They have a low rpm heater fix that increases the heat at idle. It worked for my boat with a 351. Was about $35.00 with shipping.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower

Phone for HeaterCraft is (208) 687-4400. Low RPM fix involves removing the water pump hose fitting, plugging that hole (you need a MPT brass plug, don't remember the size), and splicing into the raw water intake with a Y fitting. Impeller now draws water through the system and as long as the boat is warmed up (160 thermo) you have heat.Comment
