Trailer Brake pads, 2003 Boatmate part number?

    Hey everyone,

I'm trying to replace the brake pads on my 2003 boatmate trailer, tandem axle, disc brakes. The brake are made by UFP (Unique Functional Products). The UFP manual says the brake pads are the same ones used on at 97-2000 Kia Sephia (go figure). However, seems that each pair of pads I order at the local auto parts store for the above vehicle are wrong.

Anyone ever replace the pads on one of these brake systems? If so, do you have the part number or a specific year/model car pads you ordered? The UFP manual isn't very specific.

True, I could order the pads from UFP, but I'd like to avoid the mark-up and shipping when I can just pick them up at a local store if possible.

    Thanks,

    Matt

I had trouble finding the pads for my ramlin trailer. I took the pads off and took them to napa and they matched them up in no time.

Well after having the auto parts store order 3 different sets of brakes, it turns out that Weaver brand brakes pads for the front of a 1999 Kia Sephia fit properly in case anyone has the same problem. I picked these up at Advanced Auto Parts after a couple unsuccessful tries with Napa brake pads. The Napa pads for the same year and model car were slightly different and didn't fit properly. Strange.
