So I just finished wiring/rewiring my new ballast system which involved moving the 2nd battery and rewiring the stereo and some other auxiliary items. Tested everything including making sure the engine would start and then put everything back together, floor, rear bench etc. I took it to the ramp and tried to start it and it just make a few clicking noises and then the panel turned off. Re-enter code and try again, this time it just immediately shuts off when I press start to start the engine. Take it home and discover that there is a large multi-pin plug on the bow side of the engine that is unplugged. Must've bumped it putting the rear back rest back in. Plug it back in and try to start the engine. Now it at least stays on but I just get a popping sound from the engine. Sounds like it may be coming from the starter. I don't have a 2nd person around to listen for the source today. Did I fry something when I had the multi-pin connector unplugged and tried to start it? Any ideas of where to look now?
