I am installing a heater and some bow lights in my 2000 196 and would like to use the exsistng accessory buttons on the keypad. How do I go about wiring into the pad? There are only 4 wires going in on 1 main plug in. How would I connect to the heater and nav lights buttons? Hoping someone has some experience with this.

The keypad itself does not control anything, except the box that has all the circuit breakers in it. Some of the wires are already there, some are not. The wires probably are tied up in a bundle on the control box. Look for the wires. On a 196, you might have to pull the kick panel, where your feet sit when driving the boat. The control box is on the back side of the kick panel, I think. for many Correct Craft boat, the wiring for the accessories is installed in all the boats, because it is cheaper to just keep one wiring harness around for the all the models, than to stock different harnesses for each model, and trim level.
I believe your 196 ski has the hatch up and down buttons by the keypad, and the only model of Correct Craft boat that actually used them was the (classic) Super Air/ Super Sport.Comment
