I am looking for another arm to buy or a work around. Does anyone know of an alternative that might be ok to use?

RE: 99 SS Nautique Hydraulic Hatch Arm Needed

I took my arm out for space reasons, it was taking up valuable fat sac space. When I want to hold up the hatch I just use a telescoping pole that was from a mop or dust sweeper and use a hitch pin to hold it in place where the arm use to be. It works great.

most boat mechanics just have those things around there shop. I was in one a while back and saw some. If you can't find one I can probably get one for next to nothing. Check with a few boat repair shops and I bet you find one. good luck

Mine is laying in the basement. I took a piece of PVC and cut to about 3 ft. , rounded the top edges, drilled hole for pin, put a rubber foot on other end and works great. Motor is way to slow and takes up space.

Here are some pics of my solution and we like it. 1" PVC notched at top for bolts! faster than the hatch motor!

gmtkyfcs, if u do go around looking for one, it is technically called an electric actuator. no hydraulics involved..........

My linear actuator just went bad as well. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Can someone measure theirs and let me know how long the body is and how much throw there is on it. Mu boat is at the cabin and I forgot to measure it.....

I can dig for the measurements here at my office, I had Zman call me with his when mine was not working. Turned out it was just the fuse. Have you tried that ? CC used to want $1200, I found a company that is at about $120, and my solution was $0.12.

Yep, I pulled the arm and hot wired it straight to the battery and got nothing. It has been intermittent for about a year now and it finally gave out altogether. If you can dig up those specs, I'd appreciate it.
