Anyone put on a windshield before???

I am currently putting a complete new windshield system on a 2001 super air, and on the new windshield none of the holes on the frame line up with the old holes on the top deck of the boat. Also even if I re-drill for new holes it does not even follow the same line you would see some of the old holes So I am thinking or hoping I must have got the wrong windshield. The place I got it from is closed today so I cant check until tomorrow, but just hoping someone else on here has changed one before and can give me some feedback. Thanks Billy.

I had to replace 1/2 of mine on my 1997 196. The holes didn't match ether, but the windshield covered the old ones.

zigs, can you work/bend the frame over a little to cover the holes?

Yeah I can bend the frame over enough to cover the holes, but it is quite a bit of pressure. Not sure if that would be good for the screws to have that much pressure on them or not :S or is that the way it normally has to be done?

Like is said in an earlier post, I didn't have to bend mine, but will the rubber strip help hind your old holes?
