Water Pump Issues

I put my 05 210 in the water for the first time of the season today and notice water dripping from the water pump, or at least I guess its a water pump. Its the clear filter looking thing that I guess filters trash out of the motor. (Don't you love my technical terms?) Is this a simple fix or do I need a new one? Or does anyone have any idea what the **** I'm talking about? Thanks,

Sounds like you talking about the Sea Strainer???And it does help keep out stuff..
It could just be,maybe to turn a little more tight..Or the O ring is Bad ...Go the www.Skidim.com and get you another O ring.
if it don't stop dripping...

those are know to crack for idiots using a strap wrench to tighten them
just hand tight is good
