Speedometer problem on '04 SV-211

I've done a search and didn't find an answer, so here is my question.

Yesturday my speedometer started to malfunction. It would work just fine, or not at all. Even when it didn't work, the needle would click when I started the engine. It seemed to be accurate when it did work. I suspect the pitot (sp) tube but I don't know a thing about them or how to clean them.

Limited Edition and it worked fine all day today. MIke do you have snap it carpet in your 211? About 25% of my snaps are broken and I'm wondering about the best way to fix them. I still have about 1 year of warranty or should I just yank it and put it regular carpet?
