We have a strange issue happenning with our boat. When your turn the key you hear a noise like a activation but the starter never cranks. If you try numerous times it will eventually start it seems? Sometimes on the first try, sometimes it takes numerous attempts. The starter seems to be getting juice we believe. If think if you wiggle the throttle in netural this might help I think?
Any ideas to try or clean?

The noise you are probably hearing is one of the fuel pumps activating - high pressure I think - and it will buzz for about a count of 4.

The motor may not be cranking because of the neutral safety switch. If the linkage is not adjusted properly then the NSS will not allow the boat to start. I had the same problem a few years ago - had to wiggle the throttle back and forth for it to start. Once I adjusted the linkage as described in the post below it now starts every time.
