    Replacing muffler 3.5" hose

I have the replacement 3.5" muffler hose already now I just want some tips as to the best way to put these on?

Also, the muffler fiberglass where I will put the hose on has cracked a little (probably from tightening the hose clamps too hard). What do you recommend for fixing that?

    Thanks

    RE: Replacing muffler 3.5" hose

I used epoxy from Tap Plastics.

I used the fast (102) hardener. A common latex balloon can be blown up inside the pipe to hold the shape while the epoxy sets. Tap also sells a black pigment you can mix in the epoxy to make the repairs match the color of the muffler, or pipes.

      Thanks, but

Thanks for that reply. Anyone have a suggestion on the best/easiest way to put these things on? They seem awfully stiff.

heat them up with a hair dryer and use some liquid soap to lube it up a little. Still not easy. I replaced mine a few weeks ago. also helps to have someone else helping
