I "F'd" up!

I just bought an '08 Air 216 and decided to add the Pro 60's to the tower. I added a 2nd amp to them directly above the amp currently in the boat. I used 2 Tsunami distributor boxes to split the power/ground supply. Two of the tiny little screws that i mounted the distributor boxes with cracked my gel coat!!! I am sick. They are extremely small (I didn't even notice until I got done waxing the boat) but I need to fix them. Any advice? the "cracks" are the 2 white dots in the pic.

Go here and order the color gelcoat that matches yours. Should be an easy repair since they are so small. If your not comfortable with gelcoat repair, take it to your dealer and they should be able to fix it no problem.

You will need to get one of the small gel repair kits and spend some quality time with it. You could also contact dealer and see if they can hook you up with a color match to make it eaiser. You will probably need to grind it out a little to make the patch work.

Gelcoat repair is easy, but time consuming. Spectrum has the gelcoat to match your boat. I have had very good luck with their colors being a very close to perfect match.
I know it hurts to have gelcoat damage in your brand new boat. But once you learn how easy it is to repair it, you will not get as uptight about other damage that will happen, and then you can relax more, and enjoy your boat more

I have fixed gel coat repairs in the past with the spectrum gel coat and a porter cable buffer. Is there an issue with the fiberglass? The cracks are raised a bit from being pushed out from the inside. Should I just buff them down? Midwest CC gave me a bar they use for buffing scratches out which I have used in past with great results.

Since its new and you will be ANAL like the rest of us, spend the money and take it to the dealer or a pro. If you do it yourself YOU will always know where it is FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!
