    Noise coming from trailer

I'm relatively new to leaf spring trailers so I'm looking for a little help and advise. The trailer in question is a twin axle, it makes what can only be described as a loud creaking, metallic banging noise when the trailer is turned hard. I appreciate this is likely due to trailers dislike to tight radius turns, but I need to try and diagnose where the noise is coming from so I can affect some form of repair. Short of lying under the trailer and have somebody reverse the trailer slowly, I need to try and guess where the noise may be coming from. Are such noises common on twin axle trailers and where would you suggest I should look first. There are no obvious signs of the axle moving relative to the springs so I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to start.

    Cheers.

Check (re-torque) the U-bolts, check the spring hangers for cracks or signs of flexing. You may want to spray the spring packs and hanger assemblies periodically with penetrating oil (WD-40).
