Engine Scan

I was talking to a dealer in North Alabama and he said that you should be able to scan models earlier than 06 with a scanner from an auto parts store. Has anyone ever tried this. He said he wasn't for sure that it would work but that it should. He said you couldn't in the newer model boats because they have some kind of block on the software. If you can where do you plug it in to the 330?

RE: Engine Scan

Remove the plastic cover from the engine, and look above the left valve cover, between the valve cover, and the intake manifold. On some boats, the gateway box for the gauges may be plugged into it.
