Kodiaks (with grease) versus bearing buddies ?

I need to grease the bearings on my less-than-one-year-old Ramlin (with DRUM brakes).

From the factory, it came with the Kodiak oil bath kit but filled with grease instead of oil. Last trip, one of the bearings became obviously contaminated with water. So time for tear down. This will be my first time for this trailer.

What I'm wondering is...should I get rid of the Kodiak covers and put on regular old spring loaded bearing buddies? I've never had a trailer with drum brakes before. What happens to any grease the gets pumped out the real seal? Does it report to inside the drum and ruin the brake shoes?

g-3...I had a prediction that you were going to comment on the Kodiaks.
