Boat wont start trying to go out for Fathers day

My 84 Ski natique 2001 wont start... Seems I have no spark, I pulled fuel line on carb and seem to get fuel when crancking....However no spark I sprayed with starting fluid no start....Checked #1 wire no spark checked coil no spark.. Please help... I want to go out for fathers day....

Make sure you're getting power (12v) to the coil. If not, check further upstream, possibly ignition switch.

Points or electronic ignition? If points, make sure gap is correct. Wouldn't hurt to replace the condenser.

Go to electronic points from pertronics it is worth it. I second the voltage to the coil. You should be able to hotwire the postitve wire from the starter solenoid to the + terminal on the coil. Then crank ,if it doesn't start then check voltage to the coil and ground. Good luck

I'm looking forward to the responses. I'm having a similar problem with my 93 SN. Ran fine when I put it up for the winter, but now I have no spark. I bought a voltage meter to try and track the problem, but don't know where to start. In my case I do have electronic ignition. Spent my Father's Day skipping stones.
