    Minor Vinyl Repairs???

I have a small (about 1/8" long and v-shaped) hole/tear in the vinyl on the port side door on my sun deck and I'm worried that it will get bigger. Is there a way of repairing it so that looks good or are any repairs to it going to look worse? I'm pretty sick about it. There are vinyl repair kits out there but I've never heard of anyone having good results with them. Will the hole get bigger once it has started? If it's not able to be repaired to where I can't see it, is there a way of stopping the tear from spreading? Any estimates on how much it would be to replace the vinyl on the one door completely?

    Thanks!

    RE: Minor Vinyl Repairs???

We use a business called 'leather medic' - they're not cheap but do a great job on stuff like that, tears up to 1/2" or maybe more... we've had great results with small tears. I also don't know if this is a nationwide thing or a local business (NH) but anyway thats my 2 cents.
How 'bout a little reverse action...

      You can fix it!

I had Creative Colors do a small vinyl repair with great success. $50-$75

      Try: CreativeColorsIntl.com

I have a 99 SAN that just recently developed a few cracks on the sundeck. I am religious about putting 303 on it after every use, so I am a bit frustrated to see this. What alternatives to taking it up to a local shop are there...if any?

I would be interested in the same thing. I just bought a 99 Sport Nautique and it has the same tear in the same place. I would prefer to handle it on my own if the results are right.

Yes easily repaired and will cost about $75ish. Just call your dealer and ask who they use. Guy came right to my house and did it. You will prob still be able to tell buy only because you know where to look. my 2" repair from a sharp fin being dragged across my deck is still holding strong after 2 seasons.

I agree, get a reference from your dealer and let the pros do it. I had a few small cuts and they took care of them for $100. You couldn't tell where they were. It was well worth it.
