chirping noise in a 93 sncb

Sometimes I have a chirping noise at low rpm's. Any ideas what it could be? It seems to do it more after the boat has been run for 15-20 min or so. It sounds like it is coming from the drive shaft or tranny.

Could be the main control valve of the tranny. Believe it or not, that could be trans fluid under pressure making that noise. Typically this was only an issue on the very first PCM PP trannys. I don't know if it was an issue on the 93 PP trans. There is a kit to fix it that Skidim.com carries. You might want to ask them if it could apply to your trans.

M3fan is correct in that PCM built transmissions that required changing the spring or shimming behind the selector valve to reduce the incidence of whine or chirp. See if you can isolate the noise source and let us know what you find.
