    question on older nautique

    I recently purchased a 73 nautique with the chrysler motor. Im having problems with the raw water pump. It seems to be leaking from the front seal. I have put a new seal in, but dont know if i did it correctly. Anyone have any info on these. Its a Sherwood D65.

      I have a 75 CC Mustang, I have the Ford 302 I have not had any trouble ou of the raw water pump. I have found that for the most part when dealing with old boat parts just go with a new pump. I have wasted time and money on old parts, when I should have just put a new one on. Just my 2 cents

          on my 351 I had a problem with what sounds like about the same seal. I put some vasaline on it before I put the cover on just to hold it in the exact place that I put it. No more leak!
