Cupholder interfierence for front tower feet

I am looking at purchacing a SS nautique but it has cupholders in front of the windshield in the same place my current ND tower feet are on my sport. The boat has a first gen FCT added to it that does not work for my garage and it looks ugly IMHO. I had planned on getting another ND for this boat if I bought it but and concerned about cupholders being right where I need the front feet. I did a search and I didnt find this question being asked although I thought I had seen it asked before.

What are my options for mounting a ND tower? (making the current tower folding is not one of them) Has this been experienced before?

If they are factory cupholders, I would think the tower feet would fit around them. Maybe you could get ND to send you install instructions with pics of mounting locations.

I guess that's why the previous owner put a Titan on my boat. Anyway, here are some pics to guide you. Study them closely. One is a 2000 Air and the other is a 2002 Air. You can see they stopped putting the cup holder's in. They either just moved the exact same tower back OR they changed the tower dimensions slightly to compensate, I don't know. I think you might have to get one from a 2001 or older to work correctly.

What year is the SS. I would contact ND. They've made lots of these by now, and should know which years they do or do not accomodate. BKH

It is a 95 ss. Between the 2 pics it looks like the tower is the same just shifted forward. That is where the current front feet are on the boat now. It might be able to cover the holes up with a new tower leaving the back ones to get filled somehow. Maybe I will call wayne at ND and get his thoughts.

FWIW, the Supersport shown on the ND website has the cupholders. BKH

I noticed that, but it was at such an angle I had a hard time seeing it. I figured thats what it was. I am going back and forth on the whole deal.

I have a 98 SS with the ND tower and they work fine. You cant get a 64 ounce super gulp in there but a can or bottle are fine.

Ive got a 97 and it fit between the cup holders and the winshield. Barely, but it fit. A friend of mine just purchased a NDT for his 95 SS. It arrived Tuesday. Im not sure if hes got it on yet but I will ask him if he had any issues.
