    ZR6 oil question

Two easy questions oil related on our ZR6.

When people check their oil level on the ZR6 does somebody use a special trick for it? I mean, the oil stick is somewhat like 3ft long! And it's almost undoable to get it back. When pulling it out I try to remember how I took it out and put it back the similair way, but when this doesn't work out I'm 3 minutes of oil stick fighting. Doesn't look very "profesional" with a boat loaded with people :???: ... Any tricks for this?

And where can I find the oil stick for the V-drive on a ZR6 on a 230? I removed the plastic cover under the middle seat and can see the small oil stick on the transmission itself. But not on the V-drive....

    RE: ZR6 oil question

Sliding it in rotating it 1/4. It will follow the twist.

Jeff explained in another topic, clutch and vdrive have only one oil system.

      RE: ZR6 oil question

Sliding it in and rotating doesn't work for us. I tried it numerious times...

Didn't know the V-drive and transmission was 1 these days. Seems logical now that I didn't saw the dipstick.
      Thanks Jos!

Took me a time to twist and learn the trick.

The dipstick on our 330 Excalibur wasn't a problem. That one was only 50cm, but the ZR6 dipstick is really twice as long and thinner... First I thought somebody was joking when he pulled the dipstick, like a bad magician does with a never ending piece of handerchief.
