Using Swifty brand gas in your nautique

I would like to get some opinions on whether or not you personally would put Swifty brand gasoline in your boat? For those who may not be familiar with Swifty gas stations.. it is a gas station chain here in the Midwest. I have heard that this gas has a high concentration of alcohol in the gas blend and have always avoided this gas station. Circumstances may require me to switch from BP brand gas to Swifty... Of course I would continue with 89 octane as a minimum. Would you feel comfortable with this gas in your boat engine? Thanks in advance for anybody who comments

Not sure that those statments of alcohol are founded. I use Swifty gas in my vehicles when I get the chance with no issues. I think they keep prices down by not advertising, not having a snack shop, etc...

But perhaps someone else has more information??

If the ethanol content is less than 10%, you should be okay. What year is your boat? If you have a newer GM engine, there is no need to run anything over 87 octane.

my boat is a 1999 with a 351 GT-40... manual tells me to run 89 octane. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard negative things about this brand of gas... I did a search, the company name is Swifty Serve Corp based in Durham, N.C.

It's unusual that they can keep prices down w/out the snack shop. Most gas stations do not make much money on gas alone. They use the gas to attract customers for the mini-mart stuff where the margins are much better.
