water in fuel tank, how to get rid of it??

I've discovered water in the fuel (drained from the FCC bowl). I've drained it a couple of times, and I still am getting water in the FCC drain. The boat has run, run at idle for more than 5 minutes, but when I get out to run it, the boat dies. I've drained it a few times, but, it still doesn't want to run more than a few minutes.

I've searched here, didn't find anything about how to get rid of all the water in the fuel tank. Can a fuel additive work? I put Stabil in there, and added a fuel conditioner, any other ideas? Fwiw, we had a huge storm Sunday night, and I think my cover may have contributed to some pooling around the fuel filler/vent area, and I think that's how I got water into the tank.

Should I add fresh fuel (it's about 1/3 fuel now), should I try to completely drain the tank? What would be the best way to drain the tank?

    thanks,
    Jack

just went through this ourselves. we pumped/syphoned what was in there out, then took a piece of 1/2 tube, wired it to the shop vac and taped it all of at the shop vac hose and sucke the remaining remnats of stuff out.
befor doing that we we also jacked up the right side and front of the boat and all the water settled in the back left corner it was pretty easy to see it just sitting in that corner with a flashlight.so if you have a fair amount of fuel in there and dont want to suck it all out, you could do that and just try to get the water that collects in that back corner like that.
we were getting all of the year old gas out becuase we had rebuilt the carb and replaced fuel filters and didnt want to trash new stuff with old bad gas.
