Base rumble in the boat...not the woofer

I just purchased a '98 SN. There is a low frequency base hum at idle. The floor will vibrate when idyling forward. To me, it gets a bit load at mid speed, resembling the low frequency base of a stereo. Any thoughts??

      Thanks Andrew,
I am scheduled for an alignment. However, this morning I noted this frequency pitch when we were not under power but sitting in neutral at idle. I thought shaft movement is stopped while sitting with motor idyling.
      Thanks again.

sometimes the shaft will still turn due to the inertia of the tranny fluid, but it shouldn't be enough to create a noise or vibration.....

This is what I would think. So, it may simply be the boat. It's something I don't recall when riding in others. I describe it as a base sound that oscillates slightly and causing some vibration in the floor. Maybe I'll get used to it.
