    Prop question

I have a 2002 Air Nautique (the immediate pre-cursor to the current 216). My
son and his friends are huge wakeboarders and routinely weight the boat with both it's internal ballast and up to 3 fat sacs, positioned at various points in the boat. The extra weight does a good job and the boat throws a pretty good wake, especially for a direct drive.

My question is, I think I need a prop that is better suited to this type of use. The boat seems to labor under the weight during the initial pull out of the water and until we hit their wakeboard speed of about 23.5 mph. I run the boat for slalom occasionally, but top end speed isn't really that important. Any suggestions?

    RE: Prop question

I recomend calling Acme propellers. The guy you want to talk to is Bill Weeks. bweeks@acmemarine.com
ph. 1 888 661 2263 If you tell him your set up he can recomend a prop for your specific needs. Bill is one of the engineers and can help you out I'm sure. They have a 30 day money back guarentee on their props.
