    1995 Sport Nautique w(GT40) - barefoot speeds.

I currently have a 2002 GT40 powering an ACME 422. Everything is great except I want to move from 46 top speed into the lower 50's pulling a footer . Any prop recommendations to get me there I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Patrick

Lower 50's pulling a footer??? Not going to happen with that hull/motor combo. I can't think of any Nautique getting into the lower with the exception of the ski-fly 196's with the blown motors.

There are very few tournament boats that are capable of getting into the lower 50's while pulling a footer.

Why do you need more than 45? That seems too fast for anything I can think of?

speed does not make up for form.

I am about as big a barefooter as they come....6'6" and 275lbs....and I am only pulled around 40 or 42 mph. A lot slower on the boom. That seems really really fast and very dangerous.

I have no issue with wanting more speed, but a prop that will add 5+ mph to the top end (coming from an Acme 422 no less) would have to be made out of magical pixie dust.

What kind of RPM are you turning at 46 mph? You might stand to gain 1-2mph by going to a 3-blade.
