    I hate my tsunami pump

bought one yesterday. fly high pro thingy model..god the thing works like crap. if I sink the bottom in the water, it will pump the water out of the 4' hose just fine (into the bow sac)...however if I had a 4' hose to the bottom quick connect, nada. I tried to ''prime'' the hose by filling it with water....nothing. I'm about to throw the freaking thing overboard.

    HELP!!!.

keep the hose end out of the water when dumping the sacks to help it prime. Also push the pump into the sack so there is no air pockets it could be sucking from. The design is OK, not great by any means. The older pumps worked better but were slower.

so you're saying I should connect the pump (sideways?) directly onto the sac and let the 5-6ft hose in the water?

it's working OK to empty the sac but I have a very hard time filling it up.

The only way ours seems to work well, while filling, is to sumberge the entire pump unit under water, then it works great. To empty, we sometimes have to push the pump down in to the fat sac (same as TRDon) to get it to pump, but then works fine.

If I'm understand him right, he thinks he should have the pump one way or the other, and the watter flow both ways. When filling sacs, pump in lake, when draining sacs, pump on sacs. then do what was was said above.

Unscrew the twist off valve next to the fill. That way when water goes in it pushes the air out. Makes it an easier fill.
