    02 sante starting problem

Shut down the boat after picking up a rider went to push the start button again and nothing. Turned main switch to off and then back on. Entered code and pushed start twice eveything powers up perfect, pp etc. Between 11 and 12 volts. Push the button again and nothing. I can just hear a click from the breaker panel. The ignition breaker is not tripped. So I thought maybe the starter, so I crossed the solenoid and it spins freely but the starter doesn't engage. Any ideas or help would be great. Bad starter? I recently added a second battery and battery isolator. Could the isolator cause this?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

If it started well cold and then gives you (sometimes) a single click with nothing else when you try to start later, check the starter relay.

Does the green light next to the keypad go out when you push the start button?
