Im going to do the first service on my o8' 220 at the weekend and it says in the manual to only change the transmission oil if its contaminated is this right or have i read it wrong, also is there anything else i should pay perticualer attention to apart from engine oil and check for anything thats come loose, thanks

I do all my own maintenance, but I did have the dealer do the 25 hour service. It's a two hour drive each way for me, but I felt it was worth it to have the dealer go through the boat again and check everything. I also had a list of small warranty items that needed to get taken care of and I was able to get them both done in one trip.

Your manual will have the checklist to go through.
