    PP in a 97SS

    Hey all,

I just got PP Wakeboard Pro and am hoping to install it next week. I scanned about every post I can find on here and have been for the last couple years, just waiting for this day to come. Not worried about the install process exactly, but am worried a bit about the installed locations.

With the transom on the 97 SS , and if Im correct 95-01 SS/ SAN, its "sloped" and sometimes w/ full ballast and crew, the back deck gets a little damp. Also at times just sitting if a wake boat or cruiser passes and their wake comes into my transom, water will make it up to the deck. So, Im concerned w/ the servo motor location being on the cooling hose and am wondering if anyone w/ these years boat have had any "water damage" issues w/ theirs?

I mean, Im not soaking my boat everytime out, but Id say 1 out of 5 times out it gets a good soaking. Rarely does it make it 1/4 of the way up the deck towards the interior. I am cautious when I stop as well are most of my drivers, but hey, it happens. What I dont know is, does water even make it to the cooling lines? I did recently re-do all of the seal for the rear deck but even at that, its not water tight and will come in a bit from the blower area.

And FYI, brackish water boat so if/when it does get a little moisture its not lake fresh and I went with PP WBP because I ride in a river w/ often strong tides and I dont think GPS would cut it for me... Just incase you were wondering.

Just trying to prepare for those "future headaches"

    Thanks in advance,
    Scott

I have the same exact boat you do and I installed perfect pass and my servo motor has never gotten wet mounted on the cooling lines. You should be fine.
